In December 2016, MEMR issued tenders to appoint developer with submission date on February 15, 2017.

The scope of work includes measurement campaigns, feasibility studies, technical integration plans for connection into the national grid and other relevant preparatory work.

In January 2017, The EOI submission date has been extended to March 02, 2017.

In April 2017, Shamsuna Power Co, Kawar Group, Philadelphia Solar submitted an expression of interest (EOI) document for the development.

In May 2017, MEMR selected list of pre-qualified bidders for the wind power and solar plant.

In August 2017, MEMR signed a memorandum of understanding(MoU) with the qualified companies to submit their technical and financial bid by April 10, 2018 for Photovoltaic Solar Plant and November 02, 2018 for Wind Power.

MEMR is in the process to select developers to construct the project.

Scope
The project involves the construction of a 200MW solar power plant and a 100MW Wind Power in Jordan.

The US$500 million project includes the following:

1. Construction of substations

2. Construction of related facilities

3. Installation of Solar cells

4. Installation of Silicon wafers
