Summary
ERG and the Burcote Wind Ltd (BWL) is planning to construct the Longburn wind farm project in Scotland, the UK.

The project involves the construction of a 23MW onshore wind farm comprising 10 turbines of 2.3MW each.

It includes the construction of a substation, wind towers, and related facilities, the installation of generators and transformers and the laying of transmission lines.

On October 25, 2012, a public consultation event was organized by BWL at the Lagwyne Hall in Carsphairn to brief the project plans and for community feedback.

WSP has been appointed as the environmental consultant.

On June 28, 2013, BWL submitted a planning application to the Scottish Government for setting up a 72MW wind power plant.

Following an in-depth review of the project and considering the feedback received through the public, BWL subsequently reduced the overall project output to 23MW. In November 2016, BWL submitted revised application to the Dumfries and Galloway Council.

In August 2017, Dumfries and Galloway Council rejected the planning application submitted by ERG and BWL.

In December 2017, ERG and BWL appealed to Government of Scotland following the refusal.

Planning activities are underway.
