Summary
Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras), in partnership with Pré-Sal Petróleo S.A. (PPSA) is planning to undertake the development of Tartaruga Verde and Mestiça offshore oilfield development with oil production capacity of 150,000 bopd at Block C-M-401 of the BM-C-36 in Campos basin, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The project involves the construction of oil field, Tartaruga Verde FPSO and Tartaruga Mestica FPSO with production capacity of 150,000bpd each, the installation of an external turret mooring, control valves and sub-sea structures, the drilling of production and injectors wells, and the laying of pipelines.

There were five wells were drilled, three at 2,993m in 976m of water in Tartaruga Verde and two at 2,870m in 934m of water in Tartaruga Mestica.

In March 2014, Petrobras launched the tender process for construction of Tartaruga Verde FPSO and Tartaruga Mestica FPSO.

Dutch SBM Offshore, Japan's Modec-Schahin and Norwegian BW Offshore participated in the tender process for FPSO.

In November 2014, The EPCI and Time Charter contract was awarded to Modec-Schahin.

MODEC and its Brazilian partner Schahin Group are responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, mobilization, installation and operation of the FPSO, including topsides processing equipment as well as hull and marine systems. The FPSO will be named FPSO Cidade de Campos dos Goytacazes MV29 and will be deployed at the Tartaruga Verde and Tartaruga Mestiça Fields located in the C-M-401 concession block.

Based on these agreements, Mitsui, MOL and Marubeni will invest in Tartaruga MV29 B.V. (MV29), a Dutch firm established by MODEC, to proceed with the project jointly.

MV29 has entered into a long-term charter agreement for the deployment of the FPSO with Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras), the Brazilian state oil company. The FPSO will be chartered for 20 years under the agreement.

In September 2015, The Japan Bank for International Cooperation signed a loan agreement of US$252 million for the FPSO system chartering service.

In September 2015, the project received authorization from Agência Nacional do Petróleo (ANP).

Frames is responsible for the supply of Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) package, fourteen production well control Racks, eight water injection well control racks and accessory equipment for the FPSO.

ABB is responsible for the prefabricated solutions for the FPSO.

In March 2016, Frames has completed the flow control and safeguarding equipment for the Petrobras FPSO Cidade de Campos dos Goytacazes MV29.

In April 2016, Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), through its subsidiary, Keppel FELS Brasil SA's BrasFELS shipyard has been awarded a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) module fabrication and integration project by MODEC Offshore Production Systems (Singapore) Pte.
