Mulago National Referral Hospital (MNRH) is undertaking the development of Women's Hospital project at Mulago in Kampala, Uganda.

The project involves the construction of a six-story, 320-bed hospital.

It will include the construction of an Out Patient Department, an Emergency Gynecology services unit, Reproductive Endocrinology and infertility Unit, isolation Ward and Emergency Triage, a Pharmacy, a Blood Bank, a Pathology Unit, Six Operating theaters, a labour Suite, an Intensive Care Unit, High Risk Maternity wards, a Private Wing, a Neo Natal Unit, a helipad and parking facility.

The project is funded by the Islamic Development bank and the government of Uganda.

In March 2012, the Parliament's committee on national economy rejected a proposal to borrow US$30 million funding for development of the project.

In April 2015, the Parliament's committee accepted the proposal to borrow US$30 million funding for development of the project.

On May 20, 2015, MNRH appointed The Arab Contractors Osman Ahmed Osman & Co valued at US$24 million as construction contractor for the project.

On August 3, 2015, the government of Uganda received a loan of US$34 million from Islamic Development Bank for the project.

Joadah Consult Ltd has been appointed as architect.

In June 2015, Construction works commenced on the project.

In July 2017, Construction of the six-storey building has been completed.

In October 2017, 78% of construction work were completed.

Construction works are underway and expected to be completed by July 2018.
