The project involves the construction of 647km railway line from Shiraz to Boshehr to Asalouye. The project is planned to be developed in public-private partnership (PPP) under Built, Operate and Transfer (BOT) and the construction is planned to be developed in two sections: Shiraz-Bushehr and Aharam-Assaluyeh.

In 2010, construction works commenced.

Construction work is underway, however the project is facing delay due to funding issues.

The project involves the construction of a 647km railway line from Shiraz to Boshehr to Asalouye in Iran.

2. Construction of 5km, 21 bridges
