The project includes the construction of offices, support areas, electrical component rooms, one adiabatic water storage tank, one water treatment storage tank, two pump houses, meeting rooms, a cafeteria, 160 additional operational parking spaces, 20 bicycle parking spaces, 1,750 temporary construction worker parking spaces and the installation of transformers and safety systems.

On March 18, 2016, MSFT submitted planning proposals along with an environmental impact statement to the South Dublin County Council.

The planning proposals submitted for site-enabling works, including demolition of an existing vacant house and outbuildings, diversion of Baldonnel stream, ancillary site works for connection to infrastructural services, and provision for installation of heat dispersal infrastructure to facilitate potential heat energy recycling.

On May 13, 2016, MSFT received planning approvals from the South Dublin County Council.

Construction works are underway.
